Announcements from RAD-AID Chapter Program

The RAD-AID Chapters had their first webinar and conference call on June 12, 2012 with all follow-up chapter meetings being held on the second Tuesday of each month.   Participating institutions included RAD-AID chapters from BU, Columbia, University of Iowa, University of Pennsylvania, Johns Hopkins, Mt. Sinai Florida Medical Center, and Duke University.  Chapter leaders discuss curriculum issues, in addition to planning the roster of expert presenters giving webinars to the RAD-AID Chapters in the coming months.

Most recent RAD-AID Chapters Webinar on August 14th featured Dr. Ali Tahvildari from Stanford University, discussing his international radiology residency experience while at Emory, based on his recent publication in the JACR: "Global Health and Radiology: A New Paradigm for US Radiology Resident Training."  

The previous Chapters Webinar was 9 PM Eastern on Tuesday, July 10, 2012.  Featured presenters on July 10th were Erica Pollack from Columbia presenting on RAD-AID India, and Lillian Lai of University of Iowa presenting on her collaboration with Imaging the World in Uganda.

RAD-AID is also pleased to announce a new chapter in Miami at the Mt. Sinai Medical Center of Florida in August 2012.
