Penn RAD-AID

Welcome to Penn RAD-AID, the RAD-AID Chapter of University of Pennsylvania

Penn RAD-AID is a RAD-AID chapter of University of Pennsylvania by PennRADAR, which stands for Penn RADiology Aid and Relief.  This group was formed by residents, fellows and faculty members of the Department of Radiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania for the purpose of gathering and sharing information about assisting developing countries through international radiology services.  For more information please visit also: http://pennradar.com/.

Mission Statement

PennRADAR is a community of radiology professionals with an interest in imaging-based outreach.  Our objectives are as follows:

  • Provide a platform for prospective, incoming and current radiology residents interest in global health outreach and international radiology services
  • Cultivate educational opportunities in imaging-based outreach through the Penn-Botswana partnerships and other partnerships
  • Increase involvement of radiology residents, fellows, faculty and staff in global health on national and international levels through radiology societies and service
  • Develop multidisciplinary partnerships with other groups (private, government, non-profit) interested in imaging based outreach
